I'm not personally a huge fan of sprite animation as one's primary method. The reason for that being that it's not yours. I can't really tell anything about your style based upon a sprite. Namely because I could do it, she can do it, he can do it, everybody can do it. It's uninventive.
That said, this was entertaining and you definitely have a hand for it.
If you choose to continue this method of animation and get better then right on! That's your knack and you're free to pursue it. But in my opinion you should open yourself up to a new styles and develop something different.

- I would do 3D animation but I don't have a strong enough computer for all that work, plus theres school so my time is cut by Seven hours.
- As for this animation in general, I tried to imitate what I see in movies, I'm guessing it didn't go too well :( . Well imma try out modeling with blender and if I see any spark (I don't seem to improve any farther in my drawing skills than what you see in my art, but animations and games are all I really have in my life so imma fight on.

The best aspect of this was definitely your sense of direction. It was a fast, explosive, and furious battle. The execution was excellent.
But obviously, there were hiccups. Several movements seemed a bit jankey and some of the transitions were rough. Overall, it still feels like it's missing some polish. And the sound design is good, but not great. Some of the sound effects felt a little cheap. But it's easily forgivable for whats going on on screen.
You have improved. You can rest assured of this fact.

Well put together and humbling. Way to remind us that we are not Picasso or the next Miyazaki in terms of our art or how good we perceive it. All of us draw influence and create (lets face it) complete shit in the beginning. However... the greats understand that and do not give up because of it.
The actresses nonchalance in her delivery and the soundtrack both fit the "who gives a shit" theme perfectly.
One of the most honest animations I've seen here. Thank you for this.

Thematically this animation was rich. Clearly the philosophies behind the story are well though out and understood by its author (you!). I love the aspect of the main character losing touch with which "her" is the one she can identify as, as is the case of coming of age.
The voice acting was superb and the use of silence added a sense of eeriness and emptiness fitting the themes and tone snugly.
My only real gripe was that the animation itself was rather simple and stiff at times. But because it was a student project and the message within was carefully planned out, it's easy to forgive.
Overall, an animation with substance. Excellent work!

Yeah, I definitely need to work on my animation skills
Thanks for the thoughtful review and critique! :)

Brighten my day this did! I love the rhythm they are choreographed to and the colorful visual style kept me hooked from beginning to end. Superb work!

The animation was a little stiff, but the content was full of heart. I hope you and your mother have a wonder mothers day!

ReyaneAshtar responds:

Thank you! You too!
