I have a simple question for all of you animators and storytellers on this site:
What is your inspiration? What is it about animating and telling a story, be it funny or serious?
Your 2 cents would be very much appreciated.

I just think cartoons come out lookin a lot more fun n exciting than real life :I
My main source of inspiration is the selfish desire to show off in front of my friends and prove them that I'm very good at animating or am very talented. Or if I see other people trying to make a project then I really want to help them and I put lots of effort into contributing to their ambitions and devotions. The prize that I usually expect for my efforts is amazed or astonished reaction of friends since they didn't suspect such talent in me. This motivation is very strong and stays for as long as the connection with other collaborators persists and their interest and confidence in the project doesn't fade out.

My inspiration comes from wanting to make people feel. Whether I want them to feel sad, angry, happy. Whether I want them to laugh or to cry. I just want them to feel something. So the inspiration is the drive to awaken such emotions in other people.
