Don't be so harsh to yourself, and don't put too much pressure on yourself, mate. No one will ever see your work if you get to bored about it and abandon it.
Give yourself some time to rest your soul. Take a walk. Play your favorite game. Meet old friends.
Whatever grind your gears, just don't push to hard or otherwise you might lose more then you think. I'm sure you will finsih your project, don't mind the time and don't be too much of a perfectionist - sometimes, that can be in the way of creativity!

As long as you finish it, you can complete it at any pace.Any. As long as you don't cancel it or anything like that. It's as you've said already, you have laid down too much time, effort and resources. This cannot fail. And trust me, it won't!
